Zamland peninsula + Baltijsk

Zamland peninsula + Baltijsk (Pillau) (8 hours)

A one-day trip along Zamland Peninsula offers tourists a chance to visit Yantarny, the site of the world’s only amber mine, and Baltiysk, the westernmost point of Russia and home of Russia’s Baltic Fleet. A few hours in Svetlogorsk (Rauschen) walking through the picturesque and popular seaside resort are included as part of the trip.

Svetlogorsk (RAUSCHEN):
In the morning we offer you a wonderful tour to the most beautiful resort of Zamland peninsula on the Baltic coast. There you can enjoy the town’s tree-lined streets, pine woods and beaches as well as visiting a former Catholic Church where organ concerts are held daily in the summer, the Brakhert sculpture park, 19th century Water Tower and Art Noveau bathhouse, you can take a walk along the promenade and buy amber souvenirs from local traders.
During the excursion to Yantarnij we offer visits to the Amber Mines and private Amber factory

Baltijsk (PILLAU):
We offer a half-day tour to this town which is home to the Baltic Fleet and closed to visitors without special permission. Several old structures which survived from German times give this small town its charm. The Citadel was built by the Swedish king, Gustav Adolf von Schweden during the brief Swedish domination of the area. The former court building which today houses the Baltic Fleet Museum is included into the tour. Also it is worth visiting the old High School and the 32-meter high light house, built in 19th century, which is the symbol of the town.
