1st day:
Arrival in Moscow. Meeting at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.
2nd day: Moscow
Morning sightseeing tour of Moscow encompasses Red Square, St. Basil's cathedral, the famous GUM store, the Bolshoy Theatre, the Sparrow Hills and Novodevichy Convent.
A tour in the afternoon incorporates the Kremlin with its cathedrals, renowned for their fine art and marvelous interiors.
3rd day: Vladimir
Leave Moscow for Vladimir and Suzdal.
Sightseeing tour of Vladimir, once the capital of Russia, to see the masterpieces of Russian architecture — Cathedrals of the Assumption and of St.Demetrius, Bogoljubovo – ex -residence of Vladimir princes, world famous church of the Intercession-on-the Nerl. Accommodation in Vladimir or Suzdal.
4th day: Suzdal.
Sightseeing tour of Suzdal – a museum town with magnificent monuments of Russian stone and wooden architecture XIII-XVIII cent., with rich icon and applied art collection, bell-ringing. Lunch at a restaurant old Russian style or at a peasant's family.
Departure for Kostroma. Hotel accommodation.
5th day: Kostroma & Yaroslavl.
City tour of Kostroma, visit to the city's principle attraction – Ipatievsky monastery – Tzars Romanovs' dynasty cradle with the magnificent Trinity Cathedral. Leave Kostroma for Yaroslavl. City tour of Yaroslavl – the oldest city on the Volga, founded by Yaroslav-the-Wise at the beginning of the X cent. The highlights of this tour are the Monastery of the Savior and the church of Elijah the Prophet. Hotel accommodation.
6th day: Rostov & Sergiev Posad.
Departure for Rostov. Tour of the Kremlin, the most famous landmark of the town, situated on Nero lake, exhibition of enamel works, which Rostov is famous for. Leave Rostov for Sergiev Posad to visit the Holy Trinity-St.Sergius Laura – “Russian Vatican» – one of the most important monasteries and religious centers of Russia.
Departure for Tver. Hotel accommodation.
7th day: Tver.
Sightseeing tour of Tver – a picturesque ancient merchants' center on the upper Volga. Departure for Novgorod-the-Great. Hotel accommodation.
8th day: Novgorod-the-Great.
City tour: with 11 centuries of history, Novgorod is, perhaps, the city richest in native Russian art treasures and monuments – Kremlin and the cathedral of St. Sophia, the open-air museum and the monastery of St.George and many others.
9th day: St. Petersburg.
Morning departure for St. Petersburg. Hotel accommodation. City tour shows us the Admiralty, Bronze Horseman statue, Arts Square, Kazan and St. Isaac Cathedrals, Winter Palace. Visit to Hermitage – world famous arts treasury.
Facultative: canal boat trip / opera, ballet, or concert performance
10th day:
Half-day tour to one of the suburban royal residences of Tsarskoye Selo or Peterhof. Time at leisure. Facultative: Farewell.
11th day:
Transfer to the airport.
